At a glance

  • We only store your email, account ID, and the photos and notes you upload
  • Only you can open your data — we never share it or use it for training
  • Photos are stripped of EXIF location data and normalized to 1:1 square before upload

1. Information we collect

Skin Diary collects the following information.

- Account: email address, authentication identifier (uid), and sign-in method (Google or email/password) - User content: face photos you upload (front, left, right) and lifestyle notes (water, food, products, exercise, memo) - Automatic: login session and in-progress draft data in localStorage. We do not collect ad identifiers or location.

2. How we use it

We use the information solely to preserve and compare your own skin diary. We do not use it for any of the following.

- Training AI or machine-learning models - Advertising or behavioral analytics - Selling or sharing data with third parties

3. Storage and retention

Data is stored on Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Storage). When you delete your account or an individual record, the data is permanently removed. Any residual copies on backup media are rotated out within 30 days.

4. Third parties and processors

We do not sell or share your data with third parties. We use Google LLC (Firebase) as our infrastructure processor. Google OAuth is used only to authenticate sign-in; we do not transmit user content to Google.

5. Your rights

You can exercise the following rights at any time.

- Access: view your records and photos directly in the app - Correction: edit each day's record directly - Deletion: remove individual records or delete your account to erase all data permanently

6. Cookies and local storage

We use the browser's localStorage and cookies to keep you signed in and to preserve in-progress drafts. We do not use external trackers for advertising or behavioral analytics. You can clear this storage from your browser settings.

7. Children

Users under 14 cannot register without verifiable parental consent. If we learn that a minor's information was collected without consent, we will delete it immediately.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you in-app or by email at least 7 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
